I have helped a number of high profile world brands to acquire domain names; among them:
ba.com for British Airways
wu.com for Western Union
Some of the clients I worked for:
The problem is always the same:
You are an international business and seek to obtain ownership of a domain: your new brand, your company name, an abbreviation of either. The domain is owned by a third party. Often domain squatters / hijackers are hiding behind fake identities or “privacy services”.
Don’t approach them on your own. I am dealing with them since 1997 - and the worst mistake is that the client is trying to contact the domain owner directly (or through their law firm).
Did you have already bad luck with the domain owner in the past? Maybe there was harsh communication via your law firm? A UDRP that was rejected? I can still help!
