Ethical and Public-Benefit Framework

AnyName Technology was created out of the .airport project to make domain resolution intuitive, transparent, and user-friendly. It is designed as a **public-benefit digital infrastructure**, not as a revenue engine.

I could have turned this into a high-fee, closed system, but that is not the goal. The system will remain **open to everyone** — registries, browsers, and resolvers can use it freely. Community, city, and nonprofit TLDs will never be charged.  All technical details will be available for independent audit and, where possible, released under open-source terms.

Only the world’s largest enterprises (Fortune-500-scale brands) — those that benefit most from global intent-resolution — will ever be asked to pay a modest flat license fee of USD 25 000 per year.  This contribution simply keeps the project funded and independent; it is symbolic compared with the annual ICANN base fee.

 

At this early stage we need visible early adopters. Therefore, we are offering lifetime licenses for the price of one year (USD 25 000 one-time) to the first participating brands.
